Hariss International Limited is one of Uganda’s leading manufacturers of food and beverages. Since its inception in 2005 it has operated under the brand name RIHAM, a “Proudly Ugandan” story and well-known household brand which has captured the support of the mass market.
In mid-2020, Oppenheimer Partners invested in Hariss International as a majority shareholder alongside the founder-CEO.
Hariss International boasts a comprehensive portfolio of differentiated soft drink brands selling more than 120 million litres per annum, with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and central distribution warehouse of approximately 45,000m2. It has a deep distribution network with ability to reach informal networks including more than 4,500 branded fridges across the country. More than 1,300 staff are employed across beverages, biscuits, sales, and management.
