GZI began operations in 2010 and is the leading supplier of aluminium beverage cans in Nigeria and the rest of West Africa. The company has long standing customer relationships with most of the major global beverage manufacturers and operates to world class standards.

OP invested in the business in 2018 and post the initial investment supported the business with additional capital to expand to South Africa to continue to execute on the thesis of becoming a pan-African packaging platform. In 2021, OP increased its position and took a controlling stake in the company.
