Genser Energy specializes in designing, building, and operating energy solutions including efficient power plants and natural gas midstream infrastructure. It sells power and gas to blue chip mining companies, industrial clients, and large-scale utilities in West Africa and is the only private owner of gas pipelines in Ghana.

In Q4 2020, Oppenheimer Partners invested in Genser Energy and partnered with the founder of the business to jointly drive the next phase of growth for the company.

Genser Energy has successfully built and operated 6 plants in Ghana to date, with 560GWh energy delivered in 2021, an installed capacity of +200MW, +325km of gas pipeline built and operated and a port offloading facility. More than 218 staff are employed by the company.
